Our Senior Director and League 1 Head Coach Michael Marcoccia has a proven track record of creating winning teams, while developing individual players to maximize their potential. In the past 4 seasons working at the senior level, Marcoccia has achieved a 83.82% winning record. Having coached in 170 games at the Semi Professional and Collegiate level, he has an overall record of 138-23-9.

Marcoccia is a 3 x League 1 Coach of the Year and has captured many titles including 3 League 1 Ontario titles, 2 OCAA Provincial titles and a CCAA National Bronze. In 2019 with the Fanshawe College Falcons he took them to become ranked #1 Nationally for the first time in program history. Marcoccia has also been selected to coach the League 1 Ontario All Stars in 3 separate seasons.

From 2017-2020 Marcoccia spent time in Croatia with Hajduk Split on multiple occasions both working with their Professional team and the clubs U19 & Reserve team. During this time Marcoccia also had opportunities to work alongside and learn from top international coaches such as Marcel Luccassen, Mario Despotovic, Sinisa Orescanin, Zelijko Kopic & Tomoslav Butina.

Prior to coaching Marcoccia spent time with multiple clubs in Italy's Serie C2, Serie D, Eccellenza and in France's Championnat National. Marcoccia also played locally for London City Soccer Club and FC London where he would retire to begin his coaching career. 

 

Marcoccia holds his National B License is as currently a National A License Candidate.

Ruben Quintao

U17 and U15 Boys OPDL Head Coach

Ruben was born and raised in Forjães, Portugal. He went to school in Portugal, as well as studying in Romania as an exchange student. Ruben played in Portugal for about 12 years up until he was 19 years old. Ruben has been coaching for about 6 years. He has worked with the Boys U12/13/15/16 and Women’s U19 and Senior teams. He has been coaching with London TFC Academy for over 1 year now.


Ruben is thrilled to be coaching the U15 and U17 Boys OPDL in 2021.

Alex Gaspar

U17 and U15 Boys OPDL Assistant Coach

LTFC Performance Coach 

Alex was born in Leamington, and played the majority of his youth soccer career playing for Windsor FC Nationals and Leamington SC United, captaining the team to 3 successive league titles (U16-18). 

 

Alex attended Western University, and completed an Honors Specialization Degree in Kinesiology, specializing in athletic injury and athletic training. Alex was part of the Varsity Sports Staff during his time at Western, working as an Athletic Trainer and Physiotherapy Assistant. 

 

Alex completed a Master's Degree in Sports Performance, where Alex was fortunate enough to study abroad in Germany, Lithuania, and Portugal. Alex's specialization was on youth soccer talent/creativity development, and Alex was able to publish his Master's dissertation on the subject. 

 

Alex has coached youth soccer for the last 4 years, in 4 different countries (England, Portugal, Lithuania, Germany). Alex currently possesses an FA Level 2 coaching qualification and also possesses certificates in sports psychology, sports performance, strength & conditioning, and training load management. 

Randy Ribeiro

U17 Boys OASL Head Coach

Randy grew up in Cambridge, Ontario, and attended St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, earning his B.A. in Human Kinetics. 

 

During his youth, Randy played with the Toronto Lynx at both the Super-20 and PDL Level.  In 2013 with the Toronto Lynx Randy was crowned Super-20 North American Champions and selected for the Olympic Development Program.  During his time with St. Francis Xavier Randy was the Men’s Soccer team captain for four of his five years, earned All-Canadian status, named AUS first-team all-star from 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, as well as team MVP in 2013, 2014, 2015.  Upon returning home Randy joined FC London in 2016 where he was named League 1 Ontario First-Team All-Star.  Randy has captained FC London for the past three seasons and will be returning as team captain for his fifth season.  

 

Randy started developing his passion for coaching during his time at University where he coached XFC, a local team in Antigonish. Randy then joined FC London as an assistant coach for the Women’s League 1 Team and Head Coach of the U21 Women’s Program. Now in his third year of coaching with FC London, Randy is the Head Coach of the 2004 Boys OASL team, Head Coach of League 1 Women's Reserve Program, and Assistant Coach of the League 1 Women'sTeam.  Randy is also the Assistant Coach of the Fanshawe Falcons Women's Soccer team.

Luka Shaqiri

2006 Boys Coach 

Luka was born in Tirana, Albania. He has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from University Vojo Kushi located in Tirana, Albania

His Soccer Education consists of:  University Degree, “A” UEFA License/ One year Course From UEFA. Course for Junior National Coaches – FIFA/UEFA, Zeist Netherlands. Soccer Academy of Royal Holland KNVB, Netherlands. Provincial B License OSA Canada. NSCAA of USA Advanced National Diploma- FL USA.

 

His playing experience consists of: 10 Years of International Experience as a professional player in The UEFA Champion’s Cup. 2 Years playing for The Albania National team in FIFA World Cup Qualification Rounds.

 

His Coaching Experience consists of: Technical Football Director in Albania, USA and Canada: Albania U10,U12,U14,U16 and National Team U18 in Europe Cup Qualification; Former Head Coach Croatia Premier league; Former Head Coach U17-18 Ontario Provincial League. Former Head Coach Fanshawe College Women’s Team;  Former Head Coach in the State Cup, Michigan, USA; 12 years - Technical Director and Head Coach for Eurostar Academy for all ages; London City Head Coach – Canadian Professional Soccer league.

David Kwiek 

2007 OPDL Boys Head Coach and 2009 Boys Head Coach

David was born In Freiburg ,Germany but grew up in London playing soccer for local North London Storm and Polish White Eagles.

At 14 years of age he was scouted by Champions of Poland, Wisla Krakow and enrolled in their youth development program where he made his debut for the senior team in the Polish Ekstralasa.

 

David has played in the Swiss Challenge league for Yverdon Sport and Poland's top tier league (Ekstraklasa), 1st and 2nd Division .

He Acquired UEFA B license in 2018 and  coached youth players in Polish development programs . David currently coaches the 2007 OPDL and 2009 boys teams.

Mohamed Moghrabi

2007 OPDL Boys Assistant Coach and 2010 Boys Head Coach

Mohamed grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, whereby he played professional soccer for 8 years with the Nejmeh Club. He also played for his university soccer team in Lebanon for 5 years, winning the championship 5 years in a row. Mohamed coached players of various age groups in Lebanon for 14 years. 

Mohamed came to Canada in 2012, and coached the Lambeth U14 boys team in 2015/16. Coach Mo has been with LTFC since 2019 and has coached U10, U13 and U14 boys teams.

Mo is excited to be the Assistant Coach of the 2007 OPDL boys team, and Head Coach of the 2010 boys team with LTFC in 2021. 

 

 

Rob Cameron

2007 OASL Head Coach

Rob Cameron is a C-License trained coach. He holds all Ontario Soccer certifications from Active Start through Soccer for Life and has recently completed the Ontario Soccer Goalkeeping Diploma. Rob comes to London TFC through our partner club, St. Thomas Soccer, where he
has 15 years of coaching experience coaching teams ranging from 6-years-old through 18-years- old.

 

Rob sees sport as fundamental to developing teamwork skills, which will help build positive behaviour and life skill patterns. 

These are patterns that will help them in their current situations in life and in their future. 

 

 

Fraser Duarte

2006 and 2007 Girls Assistant Coach

Born and raised in Strathroy, ON. Currently attending Brock University for their Bachelor of International Business Administration Dual Degree Program. Will be attending University of Reutlingen (EBS Business School) in 2021 for a Bachelor of Science in International Management. Will be graduating in 2023. Played youth soccer in Strathroy and London growing up. Won 5 OFSAA soccer medals throughout high school. Currently play in WOSL 3rd division for hometown Strathroy United FC.

 

Started coaching at the age of 16 for SUFC. Hold all coaching licenses up to C licence and working towards C license in near future. First year with London TFC as Head Coach of the 2011 girls and assistant for both 2007 girls and 2006 girls OPDL teams. Enjoy working with kids and hope to build towards high performance levels in the coaching world. Coaching is a passion and hopes to make a living from it. 

Jon Hasson

2008 OPDL Boys Head Coach

London native, Jon Hasson, has contributed his soccer knowledge and experience to London TFC since its inception.    

   

As a player, Jon’s success in soccer started at an early age, playing on the winning U16 National Championship team in 1992.  Jon was selected to the National Soccer League Select Team and competed in the Ian Rush Tournament in Wales.  Jon later accepted a scholarship to Davis & Elkins College, in West Virginia, where he earned Rookie of the Year distinction.  Upon returning to London, Jon continued his success at Western University, where he captained the varsity team to two National titles and achieved All-Canadian status on three occasions.  In 2019, Jon was inducted into the Western Soccer Hall of Fame.  

   

Jon was hired as the EMSA District Coach in 2012 and subsequently as Technical Director of Lambeth FC in 2014.  In 2017, he returned to Western University as a Coach.  Jon holds a National B Part 1 coaching license and is currently finishing his National B Part 2 and National Children's license.    

   

Jon earned his Bachelor of Education degree in 2001 and has been teaching and coaching in London for 16 years.  During that time, he has coached his school to gold, 3 silver, and a bronze medal at the Ontario High School Soccer Championships.  

  

Jon has proven time and again that his unique combination of on-field and off-field talents create an opportunity to teach based on example and experience. 

David DeBenedictis

2009, 2010, 2011 Girls Head Coach

David was born and raised in London, ON. David has played WOSL with Croatia, Curinga and Premier with London Marconi S.C. He has been coaching for over 10 years.  

He currently has a OS C license in training, OS goalkeepers license, WFA Football Periodization course level 1&2 and attended several educational coaches workshops over the last 5 years.  David has been fortunate to work with Coaches Marcel Luccasen- Arsenal, Jimmy Luccasen-  Borussia Monchengladbach and Mario Despotovic- Hajduk Split.

David is excited to be the Head Coach of the 2009 and 2010 girls teams this season. 

Phillip Pacheco 

2009 Pre-OPDL and 2010 Boys Head Coach

Philip was born and raised in Sarnia. During his youth career Philip won a youth Canadian National title and a North American indoor championship. Philip represented London in some of  the largest tournaments in the US including the Dallas Cup, along with being selected for the London All Star Team that played against the Napoli U21 team. 

Philip has been with London TFC for 4 years and has over 12 years of coaching experience. Philip has also brings to London TFC his coaching experience gained in Europe with Sporting Clube de Portugal, Futebol Clube de Alverca, Sport Clube Olhanense and Clube Desportivo Fatima.  Some of Philip's coaching mentors include Mario Despotovic, Marcel Lucassen, Jimmy Lucassen,  Rene Maric and Ricardo Dionisio. 

 

Philip is looking forward to another great opportunity to work with the talented  2009B & 2010B as their Head Coach in 2021.

Dan Pacheco 

2011 Boys Head Coach and 2010/2009 Boys Assistant Coach

Dan grew up in Sarnia Ontario and went to school at the University of Windsor.  Dan was a player with Forest City London until he was eighteen.  He also played Men’s WOSL Premier for Bluewater and Croatia.  

 

Dan has been with London TFC and London Mini Stars for 5 years. He is currently the 2011 Boys coach.     

Ermin Residovic

2011 Boys Head Coach 

Ermin was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and from his early years he was in love with the beautiful game.  His playing days at his hometown club at the grassroots level were interrupted by the war and when he immigrated to Canada he continued to pursue his passion for soccer.  While attending Fanshawe college, he was a part of Fanshawe Falcons soccer team.  After his college years, he continued playing in the Premier League of Wester Ontario Soccer League (WOSL).  He also played for London City in Canadian Soccer League.

While working with both of his sons on soccer drills and skills, Ermin started developing a passion for coaching. In 2018 Ermin joined LTFC Academy coaching staff and he is the head coach of the 2011 and 2013 boys.  He currently holds Fundamentals, Learn to Train, and Making Ethical Decisions certificates. In early 2021 he is scheduled to complete his provincial C licence.

He really enjoys coaching the kids and is looking forward to the new year's adventures.

Sanir Cosovic

2011 Boys Head Coach 

Sanir began team practices as a young boy in the town of Orasje, Bosnia-Herzegovina where he grew up. He developed through Hajduk FC academy system from grassroots levels all the way through to senior team where he played semi-professionally for a couple of years until 1992 when the league disbanded due to the civil war. Sanir started playing again in 1994 when the situation in the country normalized a bit, but then left the country to come to Canada. 

After coming to Canada Sanir attended Fanshawe College where he obtained Diploma in Computer Programming in 1997 and then the UWO where he obtained the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in 2012. Sanir continued his playing career in Canada across all the division of Western Ontario Soccer League. His love for the game still continues as he currently plays in the Middlesex Masters Indoor League for FC Bosnia, and in the Outdoor League for FC Albania.  

 

Sanir is excited to be the Head Coach of the 2011 Boys team this season.

Jorge Ferreira

2012 Boys Head Coach 

During his youth Jorge won a Provincial and National title, represented London in the some of the largest tournaments in the US including the Dallas Cup. Jorge travelled to Europe and played in the famed Sporting Lisbon Youth academy. After his youth career, Jorge accepted a full scholarship to go play NCAA Division 1 soccer in the United States. During his time at the University of Detroit, he led the Titans to their first ever NCAA tournament and became the first player in conference history to be the leagues top scorer and 1st team all conference all four of his collegiate years. He became the first player in school history to be named ALL-American and also selected to Adidas MLS Combine Top 40 and Senior Bowl appearance.

 

In 2014, Jorge was elected into the Detroit Titan Hall of fame as the school’s All-Time Leading scorer and amongst the top scorers in NCAA history. After his playing career, Jorge went into coaching and received his USSF coaching license and coached at the youth level for the Columbus Crew Academy.

Ian Kerr

2012 Boys Head Coach 

Ian grew up in London, Ontario and attended Western University.

 

Ian has been playing soccer since he was four and year round since he was 16. His playing career was primarily in the London and Niagara regions and his coaching career had included youth and adult in London and he has run youth soccer programs in Massachusetts  He has been coaching with London TFC for three years.  Ian believes in the importance of sport to create opportunities for kids to succeed
